What is Ambient Listening?

Your provider may use Ambient Listening during your visit. This technology listens to the conversations and creates a draft medical note. Your provider reviews and finalizes your record.

Why Do We Use it?

During visits, providers want to record everything you tell them that is critical to the reason for your visit. They have to find the right place to input your information, so they can spend a lot of time typing while you are talking. Ambient listening helps reduce this. Instead of focusing on the computer, your provider can listen more closely, maintain eye contact, and have a more natural conversation with you.

• It is not part of your medical record.
• The recording is deleted within 7 days.
